Recent Changes: As of April 2015, all home water heaters must comply with new U.S. Department of Energy efficiency standards. Most homeowners won’t notice a difference in their water heater, but larger units – 55 gallons or more – will need several technological changes in order to achieve the efficiency gains.
This is good news for homeowners, as hot water heating generally amounts to nearly 20 percent of a home’s energy costs.
If your hot water heater is not up to par and you know the age of your hot water heater and it’s under 10 years old we can come troubleshoot and see if maybe it’s just a thermostat or pilot problem.
If not, you can give us the model and serial numbers and we can find out if it’s either under warranty or just ready for replacement. You can even just take a picture of the plate or sticker on the side of the hot water heater and send it to us, we will take care of looking it up for you.
We sell Bradford White water heaters that have a 6-year warranty. Depending on size and type, we can quote you a price over the phone.
